Toddler and Preschool opening

Katie's House of learning has openings for children in the toddler, preschool, and school age program. This program is great for parents looking for a close bond between their family and their child's caregiver/teacher.

I work closely with each of my families to ensure their needs are being meet, and that their child is developing in an inclusive environment. A monthly lesson plan is written with a theme based focus to meet the learning domains for each age group, along with setting new goals. I choose the theme based off of the children's expressed interest. Activities are planned to encourage children to challenge their skills, and problem solve to develop self-confident as well as developing new skills. I encourage each age to use their words, express their feelings, and help each other out. The goal is to learn through intentional play.

Aside from a detailed lesson plan, Katie's House of Learning offer healthy meals in a family style setting. All fruits and vegetables are fresh and diverse to expand the pallet of the children. There is an onsite garden that allows children to help grow food, as well as learn about the process of growing food and making it into meals. Each child highly enjoys this and takes pride in helping with the garden and meals.

Child develop in very important and here at Katie's House of Learning, I take pride in setting up an environment where children are free to explore and have to ability to learn through play. I spend time getting to know my families and set up ongoing communication to foster the growth and development of their young ones.
